Over the last few years/months I have added to my collection of scarves by purchasing some scarves from Ebay. It is a case of watching every now and then and you can get some really nice scarves at really great prices. So I'll post some of the scarves I have acquired in this way. Here is the most recent scarf I got:-
Golf Balls Plisse
The scarf in detail. |
Just simply worn with the addition of a scarf ring or knot. |
And some more fancy knots which the plisse lends itself so beautifully to!
Single knot in the 2 left photos, butterfly knots in the 2 on the right.

Wow! I only have 1 plisse but love it's versatility - I like the styles you've shown here and will try them with mine...great ideas, thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHI PP - you're very welcome! I love plisses too they look so unusual! SAxx
DeleteSo pleased to see you blogging again and this post is of great interest as I recently acquired my first plissé (from eBay, a Pierres d'Orient) but have not worn it yet, so need inspiration to give it an outing. I love this scarf, such a lovely red and with the white works so well as a plissé. It looks fab in the butterfly knots too, must try this out! xx
ReplyDeleteHi Blighty - apologies for not blogging more and sooner! I have discovered a collage maker so it makes it a little quicker to do the blog posts - not so laborious to load the photos anymore yayy!!! Glad you like the ideas and I hope you can find some to practice with your plisse. They are so easy to do and the looks achieved are great with a plisse - happy knotting/tying! SAx
DeleteHi, I knew you were "working in the background" re the scarves. Congrats, the scarf is truly a beauty itself, plus it is nicely paired up with the blue cardigan.
DeleteBtw, I think that you are the blogger who makes the most beautiful knots. Or one of the best, at least. I guess, if I knew to make such the beautiful knots, I would have much more scarves,
Your knots are true feasts for the eyes, as well as the scarves themselves.
I think this scarves is way more interesting in plisse than in usual version - my opinion only.
Maria
Hi Maria - thank you! Glad you like the knots and ideas. SAxx
DeleteWhat a pretty scarf, and you have a gift for so many different ways to wear it. I have never had a plisse, but will be looking out for one. Off to check Ebay now :)
ReplyDeleteHi Patricia - lovely to hear from you - oh I hope you can find a plisse as Hermes no longer make them and you should have at least one in your collection!! SAxx
DeleteSo happy to see you back to posting, SA! I love plisses. True, that H no longer makes them, but as far as I know, they will still plisse a 90cm that is brought in. I had one done perhaps a year ago. Congratulations on such a great find! xx
ReplyDeleteCynthia
