I was also given a sample of the new perfume soon to be launched by Hermes it is called Voyage d'Hermes and has a woody scent with a hint of musk - very fresh and very unisex.
The Bolduc ring is square which makes a nice change!
The front depicts the Hermes caleche.
As you can see the edges feature the "stitching" like the real Bolduc Ribbon used to wrap up all Hermes goodies!
A straight "tie" look.
And a crossover "knot" which I feel is a more secure way to wear the ring as it is quite wide and I would not wear it on a 70cm in anything that was not secure as I would be afraid it would slip off - I know from bitter experience with a non H ring!
With my 70cm Kelly en Caleche scarf in a crossover for security.
And finally worn as per the latest set of Hermes knotting cards - wear the scarf in a Cowboy knot/fold and slip the ring on one end before you tie the knot at the back of the neck - I think this is a really great idea from Hermes and I will be wearing this a lot!!
This is my fave ring yet!! isnt it stunning, so to your photo's, bet they will sell out fast! Im loving the cowboy knot, such a different/elegant way to wear cowboy. Congratulations on your new addition its stunning x
ReplyDeleteLove that ring...I wondered if they would slip off easily...how do you secure it with all that slinky silk? My Hermes scarves could use some bling!
ReplyDeleteThank you Elle - a sure fire seller!! Yes makes a cowboy look tres chic!!
ReplyDeleteHostess - thank you - the ring holds itself with the volume of the 90cm scarves no problem and on the cowboy the scarf is knotted at the back so it can't escape. The 70cm vintage scarves are not voluminous enough to keep the ring up in a tie like situation - that's why I do the crossover as the ring is at 90 degrees and it is harder for the ring to work loose because the scarf ends are crossed over through the ring. Try it with an ordinary (smooth)finger ring you'll see what I mean! Hope that makes sense!
I love this scarf ring also (see below - bought 2!) I too found it challenging/fun to work w the size of it. The SA said they were flying out of the store as fast as they came in - I bought the last 2 of the shipment which arrived 2 days before. Thanks for the tips.
ReplyDeleteMaisie
I have this same ring and I love it! I really think it suits me because the bolduc engraving and the square shape make it so fresh looking, ideal for casual outfits too!
ReplyDeleteThank you Maisie and Mary I totally agree with you both - the Bolduc is a great addition to the Hermes stable! Lucky we all got one before they disappear out of the shops!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on this fabulous ring, Scarf Addict, and yes, the square shape makes such a nice change. Your pics make me want one too!
ReplyDeleteThank you MaiTai - I'd definitely recommend getting one of these rings - hope you get one too!!

ReplyDeleteThank you Mou Mou!! It IS a gorgeous ring.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more re Spring/Summer etc and yes I'm looking forward to 19th too - hopefully lots of tpf-ers can take part!
Wow that is a beautiful scarf ring. What do you prefer for thicker scarves?
ReplyDeleteHi Ashley Marie - I'm afraid I don't have any scarves thicker than the silk 90cms but the rings like the one in my Pointu Blog come in a larger size which I think you can use for cashmere GMs. HTH SA:-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous scarf ring, I love the square shape, too. How did you arrange the scarf in your third picture? I haven't seen it styled that way before, love it!
ReplyDeleteedit: I mean in the firs picture of the ring on a scarf, sorry for the mix up!
ReplyDeleteHi K - for the butterfly knot I folded the plisse in the "basic fold" and put it around my neck with equal length tails coming down in front. Then take the ring and pinch the edges/sides of each tail about 1/4 to 1/2 the way down and pull that through the ring from bach to front/outwards this should give your the butterfly knot effect. Hope that helps.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very reliable scarf ring you have there. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like all your ways to wear a scarf and I love that scarf ring. Thanks for the tips!
