The designer's trade mark monkey:
A Friendship Knot
Here I have worn the scarf Equestrian Style but then used the Bolduc ring again to make the bow with the ends so it is kind of a 2 in 1 look!
And here I just tucked the loose ends into the "V" of my sweater. This shows off the lovely patterns and colours really nicely.
There are a lot of pinks and oranges in this scarf and I think depending how you fold it you can bring out more of one than the other so I reckon this scarf will be really versatile - and I must flag up the fabulous bouganvelia coloured hem!!
Very nice!!
ReplyDeleteLove the colours, and your tying skills are worthy of a Hermes how to book! I have yet to try the Friendship knot but see that you have a video which I will watch,
Thanks
Thank you very much for your lovely comments HOTHB. Yes do give the Friendship Knot a go it takes a bit of practice but it is well worth the effort!!
ReplyDeleteHello Scarf Addict! I can't belive I wasn't already a Follower of your blog! I always love to see your scarf knotting skills. Your pictures inspire me. Lovely spring flowers as well! We still have much snow and ice where I live, so I'm really enjoying your pictures!
ReplyDeleteHi. I have same scarf in yellow and plisse. I was debating between your and yellow. I love the scarf. I am also a big fan of Hermes scarf. I collect Hermes scarf over 10 years. I wish I can see your and show you mine. :))
ReplyDeleteHello Holsby!! Great to see you here and that you are enjoying my photos:-)
ReplyDeleteJanice - thank you - the Domes Celeste is a lovely design - I have been tracking down photos of the REAL domes from the info in the Hermes booklet Histoires de Carres and I reckon I have matched 2 on the scarf LOL! You are a veteran collector compared to me...I got my first H in 2007 at Nice Airport after seeing the Grace Kelly Years exhibition in Monaco LOL!
ReplyDeletescarf addict, great pics again of a lovely scarf - am quite tempted myself now by this c/w. I love all the different looks, esp the bow and equestrian bow - and of course, the friendship knot , you are the queen of the friendship knot, I remember your original instructions a while back (and now the bow knots too!) ..
ReplyDeleteThank you Elle! Gotta love the knots!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in France, Paris I couldn't buy Hermes scarf. Euro was so expensive at that time :( I love your pictures of farmers market.
ReplyDeleteYes Janice the Euro has been horrendous I totally sympathise with you!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like the pictures - I adore the markets becuase we don't get many in the UK.
I love this design and CW and of course, as already mentioned your are very skilled w knotting. And now, just learning you are relativley new to H, boy you are a very fast learner! I love the colours of the domes but believe the purple is too strong for me. Yet, it really pops the domes. As always, seeing the scarf IRL is the way to make a decision.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing!
Hugs, M
Thank you Maisie Z - happy to share and glad you like the DC's design. I've always liked scarves, collecting and finding ways to tie them since way back when, but getting into H and tpf has really helped speed up the education LOL! I agree you must try on a scarf before you buy - I have often liked something visually but then when trying it on it is a no no and a colour I would not look twice at works! It's bizarre or maybe that's the "magic of Hermes";-)
ReplyDeleteAwh, such a gorgeous scarf, Scarf Addict! As usual, it is wonderful to see the different looks you create, while seeing different aspects of the design unfolding. Thank you for sharing!
