What's Pink and comes in an Orange Box?

This new shape Hermes bag came home with me from Venice.  Let's peek inside:-
I like how Venice H always tie a
bow around the handles.

Another Pegase Box & the Scarf booklet
came from Amsterdam Airport

2012 Bolduc Ribbon

The English translation...

Peeling back the paper.

Yep you've seen one before...

Tresors Retrouves cw 06 - Rose Indien/Vieux Rose/Or
The scarf has an orange contrast hem.
I just loved this pink when I tried it in Harrods.
It is a delicious combo of pinks.
The best bit about buying it in Venice was a £13
saving thanks to the euro/£ rate being in my favour
for once LOL!

A close up of the lovely purple"pips".

Pleated with MT Sunshine Horn Shawl Ring -
this ring copes with the thickness caused
by pleating the scarf.

Pleats but one side slipped through loop rather
than the ring like a cross over knot.

Cowboy drape - not very secure?

Cowboy with knot to the top.

Cowboy/Cossack with knot hidden by
folding the top of the scarf over.

Basic fold passed through Shawl ring.   The shawl ring
is curved which fits my neck well for this look.

Cross over bow knot - I love this one!

Double Twist knot - "how to" to follow soon!

Friendship Knot. Instructions here
Hope you like the latest addition to my ever growing scarf "family".

A little more Venice

It seems like forever since I was in Venice but it was only a week ago. I decided to get a 24 hours boat ticket because I wanted to visit the island of San Georgio Maggiore again so that I could go up the campanile to get some good aerial photos of Venice:-
View of San Georgio from the boat out
to the island.

The iconic waterfront of Venice - the Campanile
and Doges Palace with Torre D'Orelogico and
Basilica S Marco in the middle background.

The entrance to the Grand Canal - the huge
dome of the Santa Maria de la Salute
can be seen in the middle.

The Rialto Bridge.

Santa Maria de la Salute by night.
The Rialto Bridge by night.

Cute or what?! This tiny little chap melted
my heart and everyone else's too!

SO adorable. Not sure what he
thought of the costume.

The bells on the masks were
really interesting to the little
one - cute tail too!

Venice Carnevale 2012

As you know I have just been on my annual trip to Carnevale in Venice.  This year it was VERY cold!  There was even a tiny bit of snow in Venice which is unusual.  Here are some photos of the wonderful costumed "characters" I saw.
These 2 were my favourites!

The Bridge of Sighs

Oh la la PINK!  Loved this one.

The lights were switched on on this costume
when dusk arrived!

Marie Antoinette - as usual - in blues
this year!

A Wander Off The Beaten Track - London

When I was in London the other week I went to my favourite restaurant Marcus Wareing at The Berkley (www.marcuswareing.com) for lunch:-
Canapes - Lobster and Lime

Fish and Chip Soup - DELISH!

Papardele Pasta, Beurre Blance and Truffle.

Pork Belly with Pork Scratchings, Turnip, Peas Pudding yum!

Pre-dessert White Chocolate & Cherry Mousse
topped with Redcurrant

Dessert - Flapjack with Yoghurt Cream and Salted Walnuts
Meringue and Redcurrant Jelly

To Finish a 70% Chocolate Ganache
 and Gold Leaf

I forgot to take a photo of my starter which was Lobster with a ravioli and a lobster bisque - it was beautiful to look at and eat!

After we left the hotel we then went for a walk to find the Christian Louboutin Boutique but we passed by some nice sights:-
A magnificent stag sculpture in a front garden!

A beautiful terraced street

An adorable sculpture in another front garden!

And from behind.

A manicured piece of topiary?

A groovy "mirror" look paint job on the Mini!

Cork Louboutin Platforms - wonder if they float?

The CL Boutique

We were pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of the SAs in the Louboutin boutique not that we bought anything - for me the shoes are too narrow, so I "only" have 2 pairs of the ankles boots but if I am honest they are not really comfy shoes so they get looked at rather than worn LOL!
After CL we went to Sloane Square checked out Liz Earle's skincare shop (lizearle.com) and then jewellers Kiki McDonough (www.kiki.co.uk) of interest because Kate, Duchess of Cambridge got her Christmas present earrings from Kiki.  Then to round off the trip we went to Harrods where I got my lovely new Tresors Retrouves.
