Elizabeth Taylor Auction - Part 1 of 2

A couple of months ago I went to Christies in London to view some of the items which have been auctioned this week in New York.  There were so many things in the auction only a small selection was on show but, unlike when I viewed Princess Diana's Dresses auction, photographs were allowed!!  So here are some photos of the magnificent jewels on display.  I will post the fashions and artworks separately as it may otherwise be a VERY long blog!!

The window display at Christies.

The beautifully decorated entrance
to Christies - inside there were lots
of bowls of white roses as well.

Inside we were given our tickets and a guide to the items on display and then we went through to the rooms containing the jewels, clothes and art works.  The walls of the showrooms had huge photos of Elizabeth on them with various quotations.  It was a beautifully staged exhibit.
