Royal Wedding!

Well they are married! Kate and William both looked great and so HAPPY! What a lovely couple!
Prince William's bride Kat
The dress was just what I imagined for Kate I adore the lace sleeves and lovely demure neckline.

The tiara is lovely - said to be a 1936 "halo" style tiara loaned by the Queen, it is called The Diamond Scroll Tiara and was worn by the late Queen Elizabeth-The Queen Mother, the late Princess Margaret and a young Princess Royal also wore the tiara. I believe it was created by Cartier.

Kate's dress was made by Sarah Burton from the design house of Alexander McQueen.  It has a lovely detail at the back.
The fashionistas are saying the dress is inspired to a degree by that of the late Princess Grace of Monaco - there is certainly a similarity!

William and Harry looked amazing in their uniforms.

Royal Wedding Eve!!

One more night: The bride-to-be and her sister Pippa were all smiles as the big day approaches
A happy Kate arrives at the hotel.  Photo credit Daily Mail

Not long to wait now - I am really looking forward to seeing Kate on her wedding day and especially her dress!  Kate is now safely at the Goring Hotel for her last night as a single girl.  Prince William is at Clarence House and came out into The Mall with his brother Prince Harry to meet some of the fans waiting for the big day - how nice!  Meanwhile the Queen and Prince Charles were entertaining guests - including many foreign royals - at the Mandarin Oriental in Hyde Park.  I can't wait to get my hands on the Hello Wedding Special Magazine on Sunday LOL!!!!

Royal Wedding

Well it is only 1 week to the big day!!!  I am really looking forward to the royal wedding.  To mark the occasion the Royal Mail have issued some comemorative stamps using the lovely Mario Testino portraits of William and Kate taken on 25 November 2010.

Gavroche Duo

At reader Claire's suggestion I have teamed together my Hermes Sellier and Grand FondsII gavroches in a Friendship Knot(instructions here the video is at the bottom of the page!).  I think the result works very well with the pinks and reds - thank you Claire!

Spring Day, Duckling Update & Gavroche

Today is a lovely warm sunny day!  I spotted one of my more unusual daffodils - Sun Disc - hiding in the greenery so I took a pic.

On a sad note, I'm afraid to report that the last duckling at my sister's pond is no more, we'll never know exactly what happened to them all except that, having been abandoned by their parents, they had no protection from nature's predators I guess.  Hopefully some other ducks will come along and have some more and be slightly better parents!

This week I have been wearing my Hermes Sellier gavroche quite a bit.

New Gavroche

Introducing my new gavroche/pochette Grand Fonds II which I received today via Hermes online - one of the very few things they had in stock!  As you can see it is in lovely shades of pink - how could I resist?!

The official Hermes colourway is Rose BonBon/Rouge/Rose Poudre.

Spring Ducklings

Here are some photos of the ducklings which arrived the other day, but sadly I have to report that they seem to have been abandoned and now only 3 survive - out in the country there are lots of other hungry beings like owls, foxes, crows and maybe even squirrels....that's nature:-(
Hopefully there will be another brood later in the season?

10 baby mallard ducks.

Close up.

Spring Arrival!

Hot off the press I just heard that 10 baby ducklings have appeared on my sister's pond today!  I will have to see if I can get some photos sent over.
