Les toits de Paris - the roofs of Paris |
View over Paris from Montmartre |
The Sacre Coeur |
A lovely water fountain - there are only 2 like this and the other is in London at The Wallace Collection no less! |
The Place du Tertre |
The Artists Quarter - not ideal on a rainy day! |
Lovely paintings sheltered from the rain. |
What is an artist to do in the rain? Play chess behind his easel of course! |
I really found this a striking piece. |
My favourite bistro's onion soup - the best in Paris I reckon! |
Love the pics! I must check this area out when I am there - the onion soup looks divine ! Elle x
ReplyDeleteHi Elle - Montmartre is well worth the trip so quaint! SAx
DeleteThe pictures are a treat, and that soup looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThank you Megs - the soup is worth the trip alone - this one was boiling hot though!! SAx
DeleteThe Onion soup looks delicious! I've never seen one that looks this good! ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh yes this soup is divine! I make my own to look just like this! LOTS of Gruyere cheese gets piled on top and grilled and nothing beats the flavour of that cheese with the caramelised soft onion yum!! Happy Days hey?! SAx
Deletethe soup!!!amazing!
ReplyDeleteDo you remember which bistro you were at and enjoyed this soup? Looks so good and I'd love to try it.
ReplyDeleteHi Adriana - sure I do! I go EVERY time I visit Paris:-
ReplyDeleteRestaurant Le Durer, Rue Yvonne le Tac, Montmartre, Paris - just exit the Metro at Abesses and bear left at the top of the stairs head left and down and Rue Yvonne le Tac is right there in front of you, the restaurant is just along on the right hand side. It's fairly cheap and cheerful but the onion soup is the best I have found anywhere. ENJOY! SA:-)
